D&c?

I am so bummed. I went in this morning fir a ultrasound, I am 7w1d and there was no heartbeat not even really a baby just a form and a sack that had split in two. I hated to have to call my ip and tell them. I am considering getting a D&C because I am taking full time summer classes and I would hate to start miscarrying in class. If you have had the procedure, can you tell me what it was like and how did you physically feel after?
