Default PREGNANT.... or not?

So, every day since I had the 6day embryos transferred (August 6th) Ive been testing every time I pee. Also, I got my pee sticks from SerenitySurro, and she sent me 2 different brands. So, Ive been using both everytime (2 sticks per every pee).

This morning, I took 2, threw away yesterdays (for some reason, i was keeping them, all liined up to see if i eventually seen something???? ), and I sat them on the back of the toilet. I glanced when they looked like they were done doing their thing, and decided, nope... I got in the shower, and made a few phone calls for the beta im supposed to get on the 15th (doc. ordered) and 18th(confirmation of what was on the 15th). As I was about to email my intended mother about the cost I would need for the beta, my husband yells from the bathroom "YOUR PREGNANT!!", I rolled my eyes (ive been really moody, and everytime I snap, he says im pregnant), so I asked "what did I do this time??" And he brings the sticks in, and says look. Sure enough, squint a little, and they are both positive!!

So, now im excited. I went ahead and decided to go on base (military hospital) and say that I took a pregnancy test and that it was kind of positive, so they gave me a bloodtest....

and hour later she calls and says its negative.

We were at walmart grocery shopping when she called, so we finished and headed home. When I got home, I decided to take two more, b/c what the heck, right? And sure enough, 2 MORE POSITIVES!!!

heres a photobucket photo of all 4. They are screen tilters, but theyre there!!!

So... my question is, WTH?? lol. Am I? Aren't I? Has this happened to you?

Kayla... I say yes. The base won't run a quantitative HCG. Only qualitative. If it doesn't show to a certain degree by a certain time limit, they call in negative.

Test again tonight and go get a couple more brands.... I bet you are seeing nothing but positives on them all this evening!

Congrats!

I was JUST gonna say...the base won't run a quantatative unless specifically requested to do so, AND there is a reason. My tests looked EXACTLY like that too! Then, got darker and darker...remember the toilet water experiment??

I'd say, um YES....I believe CONGRATS are in order!!!

Did they do a qualitive or quantitive test?

I see lines in the middle two.

Keep peeing and wait until the real beta.

When I got pregnant with my 1st DD, I knew when I got pregnant because I had been on leave visiting my (now ex-)husband during a specific time. I tested as early as possible and when I got a faint BFP on an HPT, I went to take a test at the Army clinic lab. The lab told me it was negative - because of the way they run their tests. I explained my situation to the actual nurses (about being on leave, the HPT, etc.) and they said not to listen to the lab because I was pregnant. We did confirm it a bit later.

ETA: Oh yeah, and I can see the lines on the tests. Congratulations!!

Yep a qualitative is a yes or no only not a number. Your beta number must be over 20 on most qualitative to be a positive (if it is 19 it can be a no.) I don't think you have anything to worry about lol...

I would say your pregnant those are very nice lines..

CONGRATS!!

Looks great to me!!! Keep peeing and I'm sure it will get darker!!!

ETA: I was told that I had a negative beta after I had a BFP. When I called the midwife she told me that they consider anything under 25 to be negative and I had a 9. When I went back two days later it was 29. Nine months later my daughter was born. It all depends on if they did a qual/quan and what they consider positive. You could also have a very sensitive test there. My daughter came up postive the day before I had a 9 so it must have picked up the little piddly crap of HCG that I had in my system. I'm so happy for you!!!

This also means that my neighbor is most likely preggers too (she is apart of this board, shes not a surrogate, it fell through, so they decided to try for another one!!) She took a positive test on the day of my transfer, and its been a few slight lines off and on. she went yesterday to the base for a test, and they said negative on hers too....

she was really bummed, i just told her about the quantitative vs. qualitative, and shes not so bummed now...

will they give her a quantitative test on base without dr. orders? Just a quesstion...

YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW EXCITED I AM.. GIDDY.. GOOFY... WEIRD EXCITED. LOL

CONGRATS!!!! It looks to me as though you are preggo!

Ph and going on base/post stinks! They told me that I was NOT preggo the first test with my youngest. I had to go back 2 weeks later with no period and BEG for another test... low and behold I REALLY WAS pregnant. I was PISSED!!!!
