Hi everyone!

Thanks again for the support you have shown to the Kent family. Maria wants everyone to know they are truly touched and are grateful for our wonderful Surrogacy Community.

A benefit fund has been established for Hailey. This is to assist with expenses related to the upcoming Surrogacy. Here is the information for those who would like to help.

Please make your check payable to: Hailey Kent Benefit Fund

Since Maria is very busy caring for Hailey and Ryan, Dana and I will be accepting the donations and submitting them to the bank on behalf of The Kents. We will keep a running total for The Kents and will let them know the details of each donation. If you want to make an anonymous donation, just write us a note and let us know. We will honor your wishes.

You can email either Dana@SurrogacyOptions.com or Jamie@SurrogacyOptions.com to get the address to send the check to.

I think it might be a good idea to e-mail all of our friends/family and spread the story around. I just e-mailed over 100 of my friends and family to ask them for donations even for a $1. everything might help. If they get a lot of donations, maybe they will be able to offer some compensation for a surrogate................so ladies, let's get to work and let's help them out

Update:

I just spoke to a representative at the bank. She told me not to give the account number to anyone for safety reasons. If you would like to contribute in person, you can go to any Wells Fargo Bank and tell them you would like to donate to the Hailey Kent Benefit Fund. If you would like to write a check, you can make it payable to the same Fund and mail it to either Dana or myself. We will give you our addresses privately.

If you do decide to make an in-person donation, we'd appreciate you letting us know the amount. We are trying to keep track of the total in the fund so we know when we can get the Surrogate started with the IVF clinic. We should know who the Surrogate will be in the next few weeks. We will be sure to keep everyone updated on the progress of this amazing journey!

Sorry for the confusion. It took a few phone calls (and getting the right representative ) to work it out.

ANY contribution is very welcome. Dollar bills add up!

We may look into opening a Paypal account for those who would like to contribute by credit card. Do you guys think that is a good idea?

I think this is a good idea.

Can I send the money directly to her (I do have her address) or would it be better to send it to you? I have e-mailed the story to a lot of my friends and am waiting for some checks to come to me. I asked my friends to make the checks payable to Maria Kent. Is that ok or should I be doing it differently?

That is SO sweet of you! It would be best to send it directly to the bank. Yes, making the check payable to Maria Kent is just fine. Please make sure to put the "Hailey Kent Benefit Fund" in the memo line. That's really important.

I think it would be a great idea to set up paypal, I know I would like to make a donation and it is very difficult from the UK.

I was thinking of offering myself as their surro as there are no medical costs involved with pregnancy/birth in the UK but decided the travel costs and my age would be a problem, i am so glad they have found someone.
