Two - DH and I each have separate ones. They are for emergency use only and both have low limits.

Over 5. I use them several times a week. Phone bills, internet, gas, groceries, doctor's appointments, etc. I love that Discover and Chase pay me for paying my regular bills.

Hubby and I each have a Canadian credit card and a US credit card for when we shop in the States. We do not use debit. He gets cash back on his card, and I collect travel points that redeem to cash towards travel. However, all cards are paid monthly so it's not like we ever pay interest on them :-)

Mine didn't quite fit, after racking up close to 26000 in credit card bills I shut everything off and am trying my hardest to stay above water... We shut them off over a year ago and still owe over 23000

I almost voted zero. We have one that dh uses for only business travel purchases and his company reimburses us each month. And we get the benefit of all the sky miles!!

Otherwise, we've recently taken Financial Peace University, are getting out of debt once and for all and have cut up all other credit cards!!!

Nada, zip zilch.

If I cannot pay cash for it, it does not get bought.
(with the exception of the things most people need a loan for, IE mortgage and cars)

We have many of them don’t know how many I would guess close to 10 or 15. Our available credit combined is about $300K.
Credit cards help build your credit if used properly. We do not have any balances on any of them. We use it and then pay it off completely at the end of the month so we never pay finance charges.
When DH and I got married his credit was bad, not horrible but not good either. Now after 7 years his is very good and mine is excellent and much of it has to do with proper credit card use.

We have many but are currently paying off and closing some. Just paid one off and closed yesterday. We are working towards not having any but maybe one with rewards.

Default I am proud to say I only use the American express

With my last surrogacy I paid off all my debt ( excluding my car and home). Since then I only use the AMEX. I have the one due in full monthly, so no credit card debt. It was the best thing for me. I love being almost debt free. I will pay my car off in 18 months or so. Then work on getting my home loan paid down.

We paid off all of our credit cards 5 years ago, and haven't touched one since. They are all closed and that's that. If they were open, it would be too tempting. It's scary at first when you think about when the money is gone, the money is gone, and there have been times when things were tight (like when my dh was laid off for 2 months), but it has been sooooo worth it.

I hit the none but iti really isn't true about the second part.

We DO have a house loan and vehicle loans, at 0%

We do not have credit cards.
1. we find it hard to not go overboard with them
2. the cc industry is literally raping people's wallets and have no boundaries and that is just scary right there.

We have one. Its the Pentagon Federal Credit Card-- Kiplinger voted it as the best return/points for your money.

We put EVERYTHING on this card-- cell bills, utility bills, groceries, gas

We get 5% back on gas, 2% on groceries (including walmart) and 1% back on everything else.

We use it more as debit. There is a HUGE limit, but we pay it off every month and pay no interest. Why not let the system work for you?
