HUGE WARNING! Surro and IPs Scam Agency

I want to say I didnt say it takes a business degree to run an agency!
I said a business degree or KNOWLEDGE. Just b/c you have a heart to help others in the surrogacy world, you need to know the in's and out's of this world. You need to know how to handle money, and prove to IP's you have the expertise and knowledge to do the job. It is clear looking at her website that she doesnt have the knowledge to do the job or handle money.
And I agree I dont think anyone after reading her website,and speaking on the phone with her would use her(I can just imagine a phone conversation) And if she really wants to be an agency, she has already made a bad choice using the other woman, to help her. You cannot just wake up one morning and say "Im going to start an agency", and by nightime you have started an agency?

:haha: :haha: I have been around a loooong time and you would be shocked at how many agencies have started out just like that!! By no means is this the way to do it but there were only about 10-15 agencies and attorneys 10 years ago and now you cant count them all. They just spring up over night and think that because they have been a surro or an IP that you can do it better than anyone else :rolleyes:

I received some long attatchment from her too, which asked everything but the size of my teeth...lol. Sounded so nice, like she really wanted to help me find someone for my egg donation. Glad I didn't give her any info, one section was your personal stuff: social security, drivers license, etc. Gosh, that is so sad for someone to use these people.

I have received about 3 or 4 emails from Jenn, Crystal, or whatever she calls herself. The mispellings in the email was a flag, but asking all that personal info right up front before I even know who or what I am working with..... that was a huge turn off. It just smelled too fishy, and I feel sorry for those who fall for it too. It must be newbies like me, who she gets... those who don't know protocol.

I don't think this is a "scam" agency. Scammers are looking to take your money without providing any services. We had contact with Crystal as IPs looking for a GS and found her to be very sincere and very much wanting to help someone have a child. She was totally upfront about having dyslexia, which is simply a disability. Having dyslexia doesn't mean you are not intelligent or have criminal intent. It does mean that you may have difficulty spelling and reading. When we did speak to her on the phone we enjoyed the conversation and were impressed - she was well spoken, has a beautiful family, has an in depth knowledge of natural child birth methods. She was willing to chart and provide us with detailed information on her nutritional intake during pregnancy. We interviewed dozens of potential surros and we felt she would have done an excellent job for us. It didn't work out for us to work together because of legal issues between our two states, but had she lived in the same state we would have seriously considered working with her. She was tremendously disappointed that it didn't work out. I think she is very sincere and has a lot of courage to make an effort to achieve a dream despite being dyslexic.

I'd like to thank Nbabymakes3 for starting this thread. I too have had contact with both of these women. I was left with such a bad feeling about surrogacy that I am taking a break from looking for a GS and pursuing other avenues before I move ahead, if ever. Thank goodness the relationship ended with both of them before any money came out of my pocket.

Crystal answered an ad I placed on one of the surro boards. Once I figured out her typos were because of dyslexia it was no big deal (but really was hard to figure out what she was trying to convey sometimes). But red flags came up when she started to get really pushy and demanding. Since she lives in Arizona there were some potential problems with delivering there. She was more than willing to travel out of state for delivery but my concern, as always, was what if she delivered early or there were medical problems which prevented her from travelling to deliver? She then insisted we could get a pre-birth order so I called the lawyer she spoke to and he told me we could not get one due to our embryos being from DE. She then got very nasty with me and told me I was on a list of IPs to stay away from. Fine, I'm just glad I cut off all communication with her at that point.

Immediately afterward, I was contacted by Chris/shortynthehouse/maxsmom68 or whatever she is going by these days. Her story just never added up to me, but I was very honest with her in the beginning about what I was looking for in a GS and she was also very interested in only being a TS at the time. I never told her I was interested in her being a surrogate for us. So we mainly chatted back and forth about our own searches and she didn't push to be a surrogate for me until towards the end. The funny thing is that I told her all about my encounter with Crystal (and what a bad experience I had) and she said she had never heard of her. Hmm, I wonder! All of a sudden she started getting demanding and wanting me to use her as my surrogate. The whole situation made me very uncomfortable to say the least. Things just didn't add up.

Sorry for this being so long but I just feel preyed upon. If I decide to jump back into the surrogate search I sure won't post an ad again.

I am so sorry to hear of how they treated you. I feel bad when I hear of other surrogates that treat IP's that way. You'd think they would be nice to someone who they could "potentially" carry a baby for. I wish you luck on your journey, which ever way that may go and that you find a great GS.

Ignore them............I would...........one has been banned from surro boards for scamming even. Many other agencies out there if you need/want one.

yet another name to add to the list. i was instant messaged by this one teddie_8853. i was told to visit the site and it is the same one....http://www.freewebs.com/ussurrogacy/ i had a feeling right away when i was told her name is chris. its such a shame that we have to be so leary about who we talk to, its like you cant trust anyone for a while. this shouldnt be such an ordeal.

This surrogate has been met by several potential IPs. She has been banned from all the reputable surrogacy boards for multiple IDs. She has stalked several surros and gone as far as to contact their agencies trying to discredit them if they didnt work with her.

No one is "throwing stones" without a lot of history. Many of these women have been here for months and years and know the history of the ones they are warning about.

This forum is not to be taken lightly. It is meant as a warning to protect newcomers to the surrogacy world.

I have had dealings with them as well and I would strongly warn everyone, surrogates and IP's, to be very careful! They are very demanding will not take 'NO' for an answer!!

IPLooking AKA Chris/Jen/TwinCitiesMom and have a dozen other alias you use, I've again banned you from here. You once again have proved why you are not allowed on the boards, and why there are warnings about you and your supposed 'agency'.

The warnings about this woman (and her new agency) are legitmate and a cause for concern for ANYONE thinking of working with her. This has been an ongoing issue for several years.

I have dealed with these as well, something dosent seem right, people as these need to be off limits to all surro sites, as for as my self i am new to this and really she told me every thing i wanted to hear..If this has been ongoing for years, cant something be done to stop them before many others get hurt.
