    Default Vaginal pressure

I don't know quite how else to explain this. I'll be 4 weeks pp tomorrow and feel what could best best described as pressure in my vagina. Almost like I have a dry tampon in there (but obviously don't). Way TMI here but it feels as if I need to squat a bear down to try and "open up". It's odd. It almost feels as if it's blocked and sometimes when I go to use the restroom I'll hear a little popping noise like things are trying to move around in there.

Incision looks good, no fever, heavy bleeding stopped and it's changed to a blood tinged yellow discharge. I've been getting around well. Went to the zoo earlier this week and was working out in the heat cleaning out the garage yesterday. The only area I seem to be really tender is the skin on top of my pelvic bone. It is very tender to touch but I wouldn't think that would be a sign of anything internal, would it?

Sounds like maybe things are still just swollen in there?

My friend had that pressure after her baby was born and they sent her to a womens physical therapy to get her bladder muscles tightened. Her bladder was sagging into her vagina. This is how she explained it to me. I will admit that I really have no idea where things are supposed to be up there.

Well that's kind of scary but would almost make sense. I wonder if it could be a prolapse. I've, sadly, never had good bladder control. I can remember being 16, doing jumping jacks at auxiliary camp and peeing myself . This was pre babies, pre sex and everything so I think I was destined to have problems eventually.

A cystocele (SIS-to-seel) occurs when the supportive tissue between a woman's bladder and vaginal wall weakens and stretches, allowing the bladder to bulge into the vagina. A cystocele is also called a prolapsed bladder.
Have you tried kegels? If you already have problems you can lay on your side and do them rather than strain the muscles by standing and doing them. I would still call the Dr about the discharge accompanied by tenderness just to be safe.

I think you should just give your doctor's office a call and let them know. Maybe your OB wants to see you sooner than later for your pp check up.

sadly, it sounds exactly like what I've experienced pp this time. I had a vaginal delivery (5w ago), felt recovered from that and about 1 1/2 weeks ago began feeling a strange fullness down there. I checked myself and felt what I thought was uterine prolapse. Saw my OB urgently the next day and was diagnosed with a 2nd degree cystocele, mild rectocele/uterine prolapse. To say I am devastated is an understatement. I cannot live with the pressure I am having in my vaginal area/bottom. I am a runner and cannot run. I am so scared right now. I am only 38 years old.

I advise you to call your OB ASAP to find out exactly what is going on and to find out what the next steps are.

For me, I've been instructed to Kegal and I've also chosen to wean off pumping so as to allow my estrogen levels to normalize more quickly. I'm also using vaginal estrace to aid in that. I see my OB again this week. I think I will ask for a referral to a urogynecologist at that time.

    Good luck.

Samantha, I was wondering if you called your OB about this and what the outcome was? I have been thinking of you.
