Thanks Brandy for updating for me after Transfer...

So as she said earlier...The Dr. only wanted to transfer 2 embies, but when one wasn't growing well they had to thaw another one and he suggested to put all 3 in as 1 was very low quality...He gave us a 1-2% chance of triplets & 40% chance of pregnancy with frozen embies....I do think that these stats are lower since they are going into a healthy uterus versus one that's had issues...
Not sure when I'll start testing, maybe Tues 4dp5dt, earlier or later...I really don't like spending a ton of money in test or seeing a bunch of negatives, but I would like to get a baseline...What are y'all thinking?

Yay!! For all of the bfp's!! AFM~ still negative on the HPT's. Today is my 7th day soooo hopefully they were just lazy embies and started implanting late. Ima keep peeing though. Lol

Just keep testing. With my singleton in 2008 I didn't get a bfp until 8dp5dt.

AFM: IM and I both had our appointments today and things are looking sooo much better than last time around. I'm at 16mm triple striped and she still has 10 good looking follicles. She is looking so good that her retrieval got moved up to sunday and our transfer is for 10:30 on friday!!!!

I also talked the clinic into letting me do an HCG shot because the last time I actually took that shot is the time that I got pregnant with my last surro son and in the 3 transfers I've had after that there I haven't taken that shot they have never worked. So this time around to give it my every effort I've talked them into that shot and I'm willing to NOT take the progrestron suppositories and am going ahead and taking the shot so they can monitor me better. OHHHH my poor butt is going to be hating me later lol but if this truly works it is sooooo worth it!!!!!

Yes if the HCG shot works for you then it is worth a try definitely

I started at 4dp5dt and started getting positives. And mine was 2 frozen blasts. I would just say to not get down if you see negatives, and there's really no reason to "worry" until at least 8dp5dt and you can never truly worry until after beta.

I am so excited to see the BFPs and hear all the great reports today.

AFM~I had my bloodwork and ultrasound done today. I am at a 12 and triple striped so exactly where I need to be. My IM has 10 same size follicles which is great because I guess in the past they were different sized. She is scheduled for retrieval next Thursday. I can't believe we are moving along so quickly. Good luck to those transferring this weekend!!!

I am taking the shot today how bad is it? I'm nervous the needle is bigger. How many units are you taking? My transfer date is Friday at 1030am too

Cool we will be transferring together!!! As for the shot it wasn't anything. She gave me the stuff this morning. A larger needle to pull the solution then switched out the tips to a small needle like the lupron needle and I just injected it into my belly just like the lupron and didn't feel anything. I had to take 1.5 units.

Just courious if you take hcg shot how does it help and how will you know the difference between wether your getting a bfp because of the shot or if your preggo?is there a certain amount of days that it takes to get out of your system and you can then test? Sorry for all the questions just thinking we could do that if we have to transfer again.

The NC was excited today when I brought up my past and suggested it because she truly believes it helps and doesn't understand why it was dropped from the protocol at the clinic.

She used my IM and myself as we stand right now for an example of how she believes it works.
We are at the phase that my IM is taking her trigger shot tonight and I believe the trigger shot is also a HCG shot so that in her it's convincing her body that it's time to ovulate and release the eggs so for us all it's doing is convincing OUR bodies that we are ovulating also which is something that typically we don't do as a GS. That's the one step we skip, we suppress ourselves so we don't ovulate but we build up a lining and then bam the next thing our body knows is that we are pregnant.

This way my body is convinced that I just ovulated. The HCG I just took is a small amount I don't remember about testing last time. I don't remember if I took HPT's or not to see if I got a + or to watch it leave my body. All I remember is that on days 4 and 5 after my 5DT I had negative HPT's but on day 6 I started seeing my faint + and it went on to be a successful pregnancy.

So far I have done two 3dt (started testing by day 8) and one 5dt (started testing by day 5).... Cant wait to see your BFP!!!

WoW...on bed rest right now (really bored)...lol... and I'm watching on ABC What Would You Do....They were talking about how a SC surrogate mom & someone else recently has scammed couples & so they did there own scenario to see others reactions...I'm not a fan of "bad surro publicity", but this was nice to see how the by standers was willing to let the 2nd set of IPs know that there being scammed.

I belive my RE thinks it help with implanting?? I can't remember. But it is usually out of my system the day after transfer. Or at least that's when I don't get a BFP anymore.

Posting real quick on hubby's PlayBook because I no longer have a laptop and I'm on bed rest. Transfer yesterday went well, we transferred two 6day embies. Beta is Friday the 15th.

AFM: My hubby must have hit something on my booty last night because it hurt so bad! I bled, too. He checked for blood by pulling back and he didn't get any blood so he went ahead with the shot. When he pulled the needle out blood squirted out I seriously wanted to smack him...

Sometimes you can hit a vessel on the way in, either just nicking the side or poking all the way through it, so that when you check for blood, the needle isn't IN the vein, but you'll still bleed plenty. I hope that makes sense.

We are doing insems on the 12th and 13th unless my opk says I surge later. Start doing the opk on the 10th. I will probably start poas about the 17th.... Which I of course know is way early, but hey...we all know we're addicts so I'm just going to admit it!

I wish I knew how to quote multiple people to congratulate everyone, but I can't figure it out so YAY!! for everyone with BFP!

No problem at all gal! I would start testing on Monday. My very first positive with a surrogate baby was 3dp5dt so now I always start then. Good luck gal!!
