Last night I slept in his room to keep an eye on him. He woke up to urinate 8 times, and wet the bed a little bit once. Not typical for him at all.

The pedi mentioned diabetes, but there were no ketones or glucose in his urine. He has been eating and drinking ( mostly eating) a lot more than normal though for the past 2-3 weeks. He is acting completely normal though.

I am going to call the pediatrician as soon as they open today to bring him back in. Last night was brutal.

Anyone have experience with something similar? I am assuming the pedi will want to run bloodwork, but I am not sure if I should specifically ask for something else.

Maybe I am overreacting. I just have a gut feeling something more is going on.y husband is very concerned also, which isn't like him.
It is so crazy that I came upon this thread because I just went through the SAME exact situation. My 6 year old came home from her dads last Tuesday, (He did not tell me anything about the situation) but I noticed Tuesday, Wednesday my DD going ALOT like you said about 20x an hour. Well after Wednesday and most of the day Thursday I was like hse has to have a UTI, only thing is she wasn't in any pain, no burning etc. I took her and some bacteria showed up but they sent it out anyway, gave me Bactrim I think it was and called me and told me to stop the Bactrim that their was no bacteria growth and to follow up with my pediatrician. So, Saturday morning (same symptoms etc) I took her to the Dr. they checked her and she was clean as a whistle. The dr. told me sometimes children will go through this phase and I forget what he said the name was but it is harmless. I stopped paying attention and she actually slowed down. She also had an accident also. They told me to monitor her and try to keep track for a while to see when she goes the most etc. So far it is back to normal so I am hoping that phase went away! It was awful I felt horrible because we could not go anywhere without having to stop atleast 2-3x to go to the potty! Good luck!!
