Looking for a specific TS in VA

Having different opinions is fine, in fact, my opinion usually differs from most peoples. That isn't it nor did I say anything about you not posting here or having opinions. I was just surprised that someone, especially you, would think any part of this story sounded ok. The money (asking to be reimbursed for what she had spent thus "selling the child") OR her emailing random IM's asking them to assume the child and the bills. Having been a TS myself, I can't imagine getting an email from my IM, someone I put so much trust into in the begining, saying she was looking for a new home for the child a month before I was due as a TS because "eh..I've changed my mind, I don't want it". Devastating would be an understatement. These aren't season tickets to football we are talking about, these are real children's lives. As a TS, I would NOT just hand this child over to whichever adult showed up at the hospital. That's why we screen and get to know our IP's to know that the child is going to a safe and loving home, not someone found last minute via the internets.

If it makes any sense at all, the part I was saying was okay was that she was likely following what her contract likely stated she had to do-- find new parents. She wasn't bailing completely in that regard. It doesn't make up for the horrendous situation she has created, though. Hope that makes sense.

I agree with the rest of what you are saying, and was directing the more rant-ish parts of my post at others who have been complaining that I have only come back to disagree with people lately.

Help me understand what is wrong here. IM has changed her mind. I'm assuming the contract dictates that she must find new parents. Is the problem with her hoping to recover her money? It's never a good story to hear that an IP has changed their mind, but I'm not understanding what is wrong with her looking for new parents. Perhaps the TS already knows? If the IM is lying, it's not up to us to judge why. Maybe she just found out she has 6 months to live. Who knows! Sad situation all around My heart goes out to the TS and baby involved.

There is nothing wrong with creating a child through surrogacy and then a month before baby is here you decide that you don't have the final few thousand bucks to finalize your paperwork. So you look for new parents for your baby that your surrogate is carrying and try to "sell" the baby so that you can pursue ivf for yourself. It's too bad Hillary and Theresa aren't around to guide her through the process.

OP-- My response got lost (my posts are being moderated too, because I changed my email address), but I posted a link with a way to contact the TS on the bottom of page 1. If you can reach out to her and give her more information, I think you'd be doing a real service.

An update ...

IM emailed me last night to say she found an attorney in VA who will work with her so she will not have to back out. Not coincidently, her twitter page and profile on the "other" surro site have been taken down. Clearly she is trying to cover some tracks after seeing this.

Oddly enough, the TS's page that a previous poster linked to is also gone. So, I have no idea what's real and what's not. A scammer's honna scam, I suppose!
