This month is going to go by so fast!!

I'm glad things are getting better for you Gina. I hear ya on the stress and sleep. I ordered that pillow from Amazon, it's amazing, but my hips hurt and wake me up often.

Thanks. It's been a crazy few months of BS that started blowing up in my face right around Christmas. Some of it has just taken a while to play out. The pregnant hormonal me hasn't been the best at dealing with it either.

Same here, its awful. Between not being able to get comfy with my body pillow and then having to get up to pee I am so tired. I can't wait to go back to sleeping on my stomach.

I sleep in my stomach still with a pillow under me halfway so I'm not laying flat.

I'm tired. I sleep alot, but I feel so worn out all the time. And it's hot. My a/c is set low, but apparently not low enough.

This weekend we are going to a farm swap. I really want to go so we can pick out some good local honey and produce, but even thinking about the heat is making me second guess it.

Hormones make everything 10x worse for me. I swear, I have little break downs over the stupidest crap. Last year was a rough year for me, I felt insane until the holiday times. It was probably made worse by the 3 cycles we did to achieve this pregnancy. I wasn't nice to be around at all.

Next appts...May 16 w/the OB. May 30 regular prenatal appt, June 6 reg. prenatal appt.

I have a body pillow that stays mostly at my back and a pregnancy pillow (double 'U' shaped) that is doubled over that goes between my knees. I'll get nice and comfy...then my right hip starts killing me. Flip to the left, get comfy and then the left hip starts hurting. Go back to the right side and now I have to pee. Climb over the pg pillows (feels like climbing Mt. Everest) to go to the bathroom, roll over the pillows to get back into bed and starts all over again.

I've been lurking but haven't posted in forever! Sorry! I understand the sleeping thing...my hips start hurting causing me to have to switch positions and well- its just not that easy! I really can't complain though as I feel really good. I was nervous carrying twins and so far all is well. My cervix looks good, both babies look great, now to hope today's glucose screening goes well! I will try to post more but until school is out(I'm a preschool teacher) it will likely be hard. Life has definitely been busy especially as we near the end of the school year!

Oh as for upcoming appts- my glucose screening is today along with my first round of steroid shots and then my next cervical check is May 10th and my next growth scan/appt is May 24th.

Hope all continues to go well for everyone!

I've been sleeping well, I'm just always ready for bed! I had a meeting at work a couple nights ago that didn't end until 9:15pm, and I kept thinking, "It is wayyyy past my bedtime!"

I have my glucose test on May 10th, and an ultrasound on May 23 that my IM is going to come to! I am so excited. I am also going to have another ultrasound sometime in the next couple of days (not sure when yet) because of the bleeding I had last week. It was super light (and brown), and my midwife isn't concerned, but we want to be sure everything is okay. I'll find out this morning when that will be, and I'll also find out which day I'll go in for my Rhogam.

Is anyone else getting excited for delivery? I know we still have three more months, but I am getting really excited for it! Although I know I'll be sad, too, because my IP's family will be complete, and this journey with them will end... Maybe I could talk them into one more baby?

The whole not sleeping well and having trouble finding a good sleep position is probably having a different affect on me than others. The problem ache I get is't my hips or back. It's making my neck and shoulder hurt. These side sleeping positions seem to be making me end up with my arm sticking up past my head. I wake up with and my neck and shoulder (left side) aching from this crazy position they keep ending up in. I really have no idea what to do about it either. I've tried different pillows or how many. I've got a pregnancy pillow too. I think my left arm just doesn't like m laying on it and it's protesting by trying to escape. I'm considering trying to sleep in the recliner. I don't need to for lack of breathing space, reflux, or any other issues that tend to send people to the recliner in pregnancy. I'm just hoping to give my neck and shoulder a break.

I'm starting to get kicked in my ribs. I feel like I've had a pretty good growth spurt within the last week or so, so I need to get a picture. My last one was at 25 weeks, and I will be 28 weeks on Friday.

I have been slacking with putting my appt dates and such, but my next OB appt is May 15.

That's exactly how it is for me! I have a captain's bed which is up really high, waist level, so I have to hike myself up back into the bed and over the pillows

Aww I love when IPs can come for u/s. I still feel like delivery is so far away, even though I'm close to the 3rd trimester.

wow SO tired today....not getting a whole lot done like I had hoped. Had drs appt yesterday and it went really well. Loving the new dr I am seeing, he is so down-to-earth and never makes me wait. He is usually in the room waiting for me to finish peeing down the hall. In past pregnancies I usually end up sitting in exam room for 10-15min before dr graces me with her prescence. Next appt is May 15th for glucose test.....YUCK!!

Crazy week ahead so I guess I should just enjoy the downtime doing nothing. Between now and Sunday we have 3 softball games, 1 softball practice, 2 swimming lessons, and then on Sunday we are doing the March of Dimes walk in honor of a good friend who lost their son as he was born too early. By Sunday night I know I will be ready to sleep for a week.

Well... something interesting happened tonight. LOL

A little back story: My 4 (almost 5) year old DD has been to a couple of my OB appts with me... and I usually take her in the bathroom with me when I have to pee in a cup. It never dawned on me to explain why I was doing this, I'm just always in a hurry to get out because she usually has to go too so I feel like we're in there forever.

So... tonight, I walk into the bathroom and find her trying to pee in a cup. I was dumbfounded and just stood there, and she didn't see me at first, but when she finally realized I was there she dropped the cup and immediately put her head in her hands in embarrassment. At first I was like "What the heck are you doing??" but then I quickly changed my tone, because I didn't want her to feel even more embarrassed. I want her to be able to feel comfortable around me and not like she was doing something "wrong" per say... so that hopefully can set a good path for the future when other uncomfortable things come up.

Anyway, I just thought I would share... I kinda thought it was cute she was trying to be like Mommy.

That's cute...and funny...Judith!!! You don't always think about what your kids see or how they process it. Just think of her as practicing for when she's MUCH older! LOL!

Too funny. Kids crack me up. My cousin's little girl was about 3 when she was pregnant with #2. She had m/s most of the pregnancy. Sometimes when she was hanging her head over the toilet her little girl would come in to the bathroom and pretend to puke in the training potty.

I need advice- i have been up since 5am with a terrible migraine and its getting worse. No idea what caused this. I had my glucose test yesterday as well as my first steroid shot. Today I had the second steroid shot. Anyone else ever get an insane migraine from the shots? I've never had the injections before but my dr does them as a preventive in case of early labor with multiples. I've tried Tylenol, laying down, cool cloth, nothing is helping. Any suggestions?
