AFM: My IFs were here for the weekend and it was so much fun. My family completely adores them. We had another u/s and they are still little girls and still head down. Such a precious moment to watch them see their girls for the first time. Everything is going great with me, other then being more tired then usual. Loving my OB and his optimistic outlook. My family is being so great and helpful and IFs are such special people and finally going to be daddies after 4 years in the surrogacy world.

So final amino results normal. So happy for my IPs and so relieved we are continuing on with a healthy pregnancy! I have a OB appt Friday and am glad it will be a boring visit.

I went to dr today, and since I've been having issues with contractions they have started me on procardia 10mg 3 x day. Hopefully that will help calm things down. No dialation so that is good. I am 25 weeks and 6 days measuring 31 weeks. Will go back on Monday for a ultrasound, recheck of cervix and to assess contractions! This twin thing is a whole new ball game!

Glad you were able to get the contractions addressed early on! Hoping that they subside and you don't have any other issues before they're term!

AFM: Had OB appt today and both boys look good. I'm 23w4d but measuring a whopping 32 weeks!!!!!!! They weighed 1lb6oz and 1lb7oz - one is head down, the other transverse. Doesn't really matter though cause I'll be a repeat C-Section. And...I've gained 8 lbs in ONE Month!!! What the heck is going on here??? I feel like there's no way I can STILL have 14 more weeks!!!

Wow your twins are big, mine measured today 1.4 for both, and they have not only switched sides, but who is leading so A(girl) is currently loosing her eldest status lol. I still have no idea how they can switch so much, it hurts my head to imgaine whats going on in my belly. And I had gained no weight at 12 weeks, and I'm up 25 lbs today at a day shy of 24 weeks, The last month I put on 10 lbs? I think the scale is rigged I don't feel that big and the babies aren't either - 10 lbs of placenta I'm sure.

I have had my first spider vein appearance only to realize they turned to horribly ugly varicose veins and to develop to where they hurt and annoy me now too. Grrr. Asked the Dr. and she told me she wouldn't recommend the support hose because of the heat here, but I'm ordering some thigh highs online with very hopeful expectations. Fingers Crossed. I'm hoping thats the only 'complication' if its even that, that the twins cause. 2 weeks til my sugar test and our Dr. office doesn't have people fast anyone, sweet!!!

A little jealous you girls have been getting ultrasounds, but my doctor is very confident that I am doing great. I had an OB appt yesterday and I was 23 weeks 6 days and measuring 30 weeks. GD test next week and then my next OB appt is in June. I think that I will have an ultrasound soon after that. I have to say that things are going great other then more tired. Ordered some more shorts and a new bathing suit to soak in my pool!!

I've been lurking lately! These 2 are trying to keep me on my toes & test my sanity.

At ~22w, ultrasound showed I had a previa, which has now moved & is just considered "low-lying." YAY! One concern taken down a notch. Failed my 1hr glucose test (I was 148, they want 140), and am waiting to hear the verdict on my 3h test. My last 2 #'s were high, so I'm planning to get the official word that I have GD. Never with any of my kids, but I've read that it's more common with twins because there's more placenta. My cervix was a little shorter at my last ultrasound, so we are still making a game plan. No contractions, but it makes me more antsy.

On the plus side, these babies are growing great! At ~27w, they both measured about 2.5lbs. If nothing else, they are looking great. My belly was measuring 36w! (See, I'm getting big too! I just have almost 6 feet of height to hide it with.)

I've been out of work for a couple of weeks because of lifting restrictions, but am still allowed to do errands, drive, etc. IPs want me to rest as much as possible, so I'm trying to balance everything.

I LOVE to tell strangers who ask, "when are you due?" oh Sept and watch the akward silence as they think I'm already way to big for that, if my hubby is there he pipes up and says I have twins but he is no fun.

Well I found out Monday my cervix is measuring 2.0 where is was measuring 4.1. They have increased my procardia, on bed rest and just hoping my contractions back off. So far so good this week, and when I do have them they are not as strong as they were. I am no setting shorter goals. Only 6 more days until I'm 28 weeks. Then we will go from there. Oh yeah they also gave me the steroid shots just in case the contractions get out of control. Hope everyone else is doing well!

OMG! I am dying from heartburn today. I have tried everything naturally that I know can help. I may have to see if my OB will give me something if this doesn't get better.

Heartburn stinks! My OB gave me the OK for Nexium or prilosec. I'm doing OTC prilosec (omeprazole) & it has completely kicked it for me.

Adorable belly elladalla! I just posted some pictures from our family vacation to the beach on the main boards. We had a GREAT time!! Doing awesome here, just growing day by day. I do get the occasional heartburn, but so far Tums seem to be working. It passes pretty quickly.

Yeah tums have been working good for me too, so I am grateful for that.

I will move our group over to the third trimester on Friday.
