    Default Rash on belly

Help! My stomach is once again covered in a red, splotchy rash that itches like crazy! I have my doctors appointment tomorrow but until then, what on earth can I do about this?!?!

    This might be helpful: http://puppsrash.org/

It may or may not be PUPPS, but that's what came to mind.

Oh Lord help me if this mess spreads. Ugh, IM is of course in town for the appointments tomorrow and will worry incessantly

Ugly picture time. It was surprisingly hard to photograph with the cell phone camera.

Hmm, that's exactly what I thought too - a friend of mine had it with both of her pregnancies. I'm not sure what she took for it, but I don't think much of anything worked for an extended period - so I really hope that's not what you've got!!

I had it with both my previous surrogacy pregnancies. Not much helped other than hydrocortisone and Euricin cream. Mine was on my belly, my boobs, the fronts of my elbows, and behind my knees. When it got really bad I was put on prednisone for 5 days and it almost completely went away. Resolved a month after delivery. Hope your rash gets some relief.

If it starts to spread in a few days and they turn into small blister type things, it may be this. http://dermnetnz.org/immune/pemphigoid-gestationis.html

I had it with my second son and had to have a biopsy to have it diagnosed by a dermatologist because it is really rare. It was the most awful thing I have ever experienced and I hope it is not what you have, but it does start on the belly. I had a little relief from a high dose of prednisone, but nothing got rid of the itching or welts completely and it lasted until a few months after he was born.

Yikes!! I've never seen a case of this but it looks miserable!!! OP I hope its something simple and transient that gets better ASAP!

My coworker had PUPPS all over her belly and it stated moving to her thighs.. she went to the health foods store and got a soap I think it was grampas something.. it smelled like ashes but she washed her affected area 3 times a day and withing 2 days it was healing and is now gone.. she washes every day with it to keep it away and it will dry out your stomach but the itching goes away..
Good luck.. Its got to be awful.. she couldnt sleep for itching
    hope this helps
