Hi Ladies!

I've been watching quietly, waiting on our schedule to see if we'd make May. We got our schedule today, and sure enough, we're squeaking in with transfer somewhere between May 25th-28th. I hope you'll let me join in the MAYhem!

A little about me: Married mother of two. My oldest starts Kindy in the fall. *gasp* I'm lucky enough to have local IP's so they will be very involved. Scheduled to start Lupron on the 23rd and go from there. This is my first journey, but something I've wanted to do since I read an article about surrogacy in my OB's office while I was pregnant with my youngest. My husband and I were super lucky with being able to conceive and carry so easily. This is our way of paying it forward.

So, I'm having trouble locating a place to have my ultrasounds done.

Will the local hospitals do them if I have the orders from the RE? There's one free standing diagnositc facility but I'm not finding it in my onlien searches.

My OB/GYN office completed my sono's for the last transfer. The RE faxed the orders to them, along with the information they needed obtained from the sono and it was no problem. My OB then faxed the completed paperwork to the RE.

I should have my calendar tomorrow! It'll be so nice to offically have a date.

Talked to the NC yesterday. She says that if she doesn't have everything in her hand by Monday at noon, then she won't order my meds for our Wednesday appt. We're still waiting on IP's and DH's labs. I'm crossing everything I can that she has what she needs. If we get bumped back more than a week, we'll have to wait until July since IM will be out of the country all of June. Needless to say, I'll be harassing the lab today (in the gentlest way possible of course) to make sure everything gets done.

Grrr, was hoping not to have to go the whole weekend without knowing. Still don't know. IM says we should have calendar Monday or Tuesday. This sucks. Thanks for asking Fie!

For my previous two journeys, I did about 99% of the injections on my own. My hubby was rarely here when I did them .. it was nice when he was but I had no problem doing them on my own.

Lupron is not big deal as it is in the belly and easy to reach. Progesterone and delestrogen are a little more challenging to get too. Most of the time I would do them laying on my side on my bed and reach around. I have also done them in the bathroom looking at my backside in the mirror to make sure I get the injection in right spot.

You can do it!

I did the Lupron myself but my DH did the others even though he hates blood and needles...good luck

I have always done them all myself.


Our contracts were finalized last week. IM is on bc pills now too, I have the repeat blood test on the 24th then can start meds soon after (and finally get a tentative date!). I'll just be laying low during the kids school vaca, waiting to get this cycle started....

Thanks for the replies.

Luckily, Lupron is the only injectable I need. The rest are pill form, even the progesterone. At my screening they said it would be Crinone, but they sent progesterone pills instead to use vaginally. I will be checking with my NC next week to make sure this is what they want me to do.

I'm glad the rest of you are doing well and things are moving along. It will be so nice to follow other journeys, especially when the testing begins!
