I keep checking to see if Sherry is in labor!

I am celebrating 34 weeks officially! When I started to dilate at 28 weeks I never thought the twins would hold out that long! Yay. NSTs start next week, the end is in sight.

No contact buddy for me either...

Tenille- are you a definite no for the FSC lunch?

    How is everyone else doing?

Had a u/s today and this chubby baby girl is measuring 7#2oz. OMG How is she going to fit out of me??????????????? The Poly is still measuring high at 27cm. I am 34 weeks tomorrow and my belly measures 44. I am going to explode!!! They talked about doing an amnio at 37 weeks for lung maturity and inducing. I really don't want an induction because I know the chance of c/s is higher but if we wait and she is too big I will need a c/s. I have three weeks decide. I am hoping I go in labor on my own before then.

The MFM doc also said I don't need to take the Nifediphine. I am so happy. I hate that stuff!!!

Congrats on hitting 34 weeks!! Maybe you can get a couple more weeks in there before those babies decide to come. I am a definite no for the lunch. I wanted to try and make it, but I also had a bday party to plan for my kids and the place we are having it only had the 21st available so I will be doing that instead. Are you going if you don't deliver by then?

Oh that is a big girl! You must be so uncomfortable with a belly measuring at 44 weeks! Have your contractions stopped or are they just taking you off the nifedipine since you are further along and they don't feel the need to stop the labor any longer? I hope whenever she decides to come, it goes well for you! I'm glad you don't have to deal with the side effects of the nifedipine any more.

Thanks for the offer! Kimberly or Laura we could be contact buddies since we are local and with FSC.

I had a hemoglobin A1c done yesterday by my OB. He suggested that would be better than repeating a one hour glucose test. I am waiting to hear from the nurse at his office, but that won't be until tomorrow since I don't think they are in the office on Thursdays. My NST was great yesterday and I am scheduled for those weekly now.

The Nifediphine wasn't stopping the contractions and my cervix was still staying the same so there is no need to suffer throught the side effects. My doc told me to keep taking it but the MFM doc said I don't need it. I am not in preterm labor. It's a long story with my doc. Don't want to put it all on here.

I had my IF's baby boy "L" on 4/5. I was 37wks, 1day. He weighed 7lbs, 2oz and is 20.5 inches long. He is so cute and doing very well.

I arrived in RI on Wednesday afternoon and my water broke at 6:15am on Thursday morning. That was cutting it kind of close for me. I have been induced at 39 & 39 1/2 weeks with all of the other surro pregnancies. Apparently this little guy had a different plan. LOL.

I'm just so happy that I delivered in RI instead of in MI. My IFs weren't planning on arriving until the 10th, so they missed the birth. They were able to get a flight out of Israel that night, though, and arrived the next day. I also get to see my IF's DD that I delivered on 4/11/10.

The labor & delivery of the baby went smoothly, but there were some complications with me. They couldn't get my uterus to clamp down and I ended up bleeding a lot over a 15 hr period. I lost over 2 liters of blood and I had to get a blood transfusion. My hemoglobin level was very low and I was totally out of it. A lot of it is just a blur. They kept trying different meds and none of them were working. They started talking about taking me to the OR to insert a foley into my uterus to stop the bleeding. Then the dr tried one more dose of meds and that worked! I was so happy!

It was a very scary situation, but since this was my 8th delivery, there was a risk of this occuring. Needless to say, this will be my last surrogacy. I'm sad about that, but I feel so blessed to still have my uterus and that my IF's son is doing awesome.

Our son was born on 3-29-13 weighing 9lbs, 3oz & 20 inches long

Congratulations Sabrina!! Hope you are feeling better!

I am in RI if you are still there and need anything.

I hope the rest of you ladies are doing well. I look forward to hearing about more deliveries soon!

AFM I am pretty sure I will not be carrying again, I just turned 47 and I don't think I can find IPs would be willing to take a chance on me when there are so many younger surros out there. It is not a decision I am happy with, but there it isn't much I can do to change it.

I'm so sorry Denise! I've been stalking you a little and wondering what you were going to do. I hate it that you're not at peace with this. In situations like this, it makes me think of Garth Brooks' song unanswered prayers. You may never know what a blessing it was for you not to carry again and that could be a great thing for you and your family. And you never know, if you're meant to carry again, I think you'll find the IPs you're looking for.
