Default 36 Weeks, 3 Days and Still Going Strong with Twins

The babies are doing great. Both are head down once again, and of course I'm hoping they stay that way. We had a great NST and AFI this morning. Both girls are responding as expected and they have plenty of fluid.

I might just batter the next person who asks, "When will they be delivered?" I keep saying, they will show up when they are ready. It really bothers me that the norm seems to have become unnecessary medical intervention for the sake of convenience and/or comfort. My body hurts from head to toe around clock, but I'd rather endure this than force these girls into the world prematurely and unnecessarily. I'll waddle down very slowly from my soapbox now.

Wow, any signs of labor? You are a gestating rockstar. Congratulations on making it this far, I am sure you are ready to be done. Is everyone in town awaiting delivery yet?

    You're doing amazing!

At least they aren't asking you when the Dr is going to take them... take them where? LOL I hate that question.

I'm sorry you're so sore. I know there's no relief except delivery so I hope the next few weeks speed by for you.

You rock for keeping those babies in! I've seen T-Shirts that answer stupid questions before people can ask like, "Yes, I'm having twins. Yes, I'm uncomfortable. They will come when they are ready. Any more questions?"

Congrats on a nice, boring twin pregnancy! My twins never cooperated and hung out transverse the ENTIRE time, until 38w when they were evicted, lol... Hope they stay head-down for ya!

I haven't been on much anymore and I came on this morning specifically to see if you had delivered yet.

I am so excited to see you are still going strong and I agree with you 100%.
I am so sorry you are in so much pain and you are such an amazing person who is willing to keep enduring to bring them here at term.

I look forward to hearing about their birth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's nice to see a positive twin pregnancy story.. I mean, a twin pregnancy in which you are able to carry them to full-term! You are doing an awesome job "baking" those twinkies! Can't wait to see their birth story!

    Default Congratulations on 36 +weeks....

But seriously to the others...you really arent even DUE yet. I carried twins to 37 weeks exactly. Even then I wasnt showing any signs of illness or labor. My Dr. just insisted 37 was the max she allowed twins to go. Hang in there you are doing an amazing job.

Wonderful Sherry! I'm a month behind you with just one and I know my poor DH is sick of my whining! LOL! It will be so rewarding to see those healthy babies not have to spend any time in the NICU and get to go home right away! If you know anyone who has a heated pool, you might try spending lots of time in it til they are ready. It will greatly help your comfort level. The weather is warming up here, so I'm hoping to become a fish in another week or two! Hang in there lady! You're doing beautifully!

Awesome to hear the babies are doing so well. I can't imagine how sore you must be, but I'm sure it will be worth it when two healthy babies are born (when they're ready ).
