Just by chance my middle name is going to be this little one's first name! That's the first time I've been incorporated into my surrobabes' names. When my first surrobabe was born, they named her one thing but called her by my first name. After about a year they started calling her by her given name. It was interesting!

I probably did ... but my memory is that of Dory lately. Give it a minute and I'll forget again. *sigh* This baby will be a genius given the lack of brain cells he's leaving me.

Amy, that's really interesting...why did they call the baby your name the first year?? And very cool about your middle name being used for this baby. I think it's such an honor. Nothing I'd EVER expect however it's very special to be honored that way.

I agree it is an honor. I never expected to ever have anything related to me or my family be part of the names of the children I give birth to as a Surrogate, but I sure don't mind.

My IF's gave miss Emily 2 middle names. One is the same middle name as my oldest DD and the other is my grandma's middle name.

I can't believe my ticker is almost at the end.... Holy jeez...

I set up my acupuncture appts for the end of pregnancy, first one is Friday. I'm concerned with how they will have me lying down - I can't lie (lay?) on my back for any length of time anymore without almost passing out, lol... Guess we'll see!

I have my 36w u/s and appt on Monday. Very excited to see what's going on in there! Pretty sure we are still head-down, but who knows?

My fil flew in from CA on Saturday, so he's here to handle the kiddos when the time comes. He's here for an extended visit (he doesn't work, so it's fine) and I'm relieved to not have to worry about child are should something happen.

Been talking baby names with IPs. They are Australian, so the names I suggest are culturally different, as are theirs. It's pretty interesting - like they have to have a longer name that can be shortened to a nickname... So that adds a harder element to coming up ith stuff! I think they're set on a boy name (a traditional one) and the girl name is hard. They have 3 girls already (one of whom is their angel baby) with great, Aussie names, so now they need a 4th! (even though I'm thinking it's a boy).

Yeah! Deliveries are almost upon us!! I've got a tentative water breaking set for May 20th if this darling doesn't decide to come sooner. My doctor can't technically induce because of prior c-sections, but because I'm already starting to contract and dilate, he can augment. Hoping for another textbook VBAC!

This always blows my mind how different OB's are. Even with one c-section I will be induced. We've used both pitocin and cervadil. Please don't bash... I know all the risks.

Thursday I will have my OB appt and induction date. Yesterday I had my NST and he passed with flying colors (and hiccups). I also did a 3d ultrasound and they gave me an on-line link so I sent it to the daddies today so they could watch the whole thing. I hope they enjoy seeing an ultrasound and their chunky man. I am so excited they'll be here four weeks from TODAY and later that week we'll induce!!!!!!!!

I certainly won't bash. I think the risks inducing a VBAC is still way more acceptable than a repeat c-section. Doing a VBAC at all here in Nevada is a blessing. Most docs won't allow it because the malpractice insurance is outrageously high priced. There are only about 4 doctors in the whole city that will even consider doing a VBAC, and only one that would allow it after 2 c-sections! Crossing my fingers for both of us!

Oh, I almost forgot... We had a little delay in the PBO stuff, but it's going to the judge today! We're hoping to set a precedent for Nevada for gay parents. Otherwise, our whole delivery venue could change to California. We're hopeful!

I will be hoping and praying for us both too!!!! One of the doctors in my practice is head of OB at the hospital, too... so it's nice to have him VBAC friendly. The hospital is 45 minutes away, but the closest that allows VBAC. So crazy.

I hope that all goes well and you set the stage for same-sex couples in Nevada! How huge and wonderful!!! Keep us posted!!!

Yep it's crazy that we will all start delivering soon and awesome we haven't had any really early births.
I have an u/s at MFM tomorrow to check this little girls growth and on thursday an iron infusion, yay me. Here is hoping it gets things up where they should be so I can avoid a blood transfusion after the birth.
We are 34 weeks today and if I go into labor now, they will not attempt to stop it, they will go right to a c-section. I haven't had any huge contractions or anything so I'm not terribly worried. She has to stay put til her mommy gets here May 8th though. We will be just over 37 weeks then and after that she's fair game to come and if not, she's evicted May 22.

Hi all! I had an interesting day yesterday. I went in for my weekly NST and was having small contractions. I was sent to L & D at the hospital for and evaluation. To make a long story short after 3 hours I was sent home with no concerns! No dialation, cervix is still long and thick... I apparently just have an irritable uterus because we are running out of room!!

U/S went great today. She is head down and her head is right on my cervix. She is measuring a week behind at 33w and estimated at 5lbs even. We got to see her move her little hands and feet in 3d. Her fluid levels are good as well. I have no more appointments or U/S at MFM and likely no more at all at my OB's office either. So on to the iron infusion tomorrow and regular OB appointment on monday where I get my first cervix check.
