Thats where I had this last transfer. This was my 1st lupron free cycle which was nice.

As far as the staff, I don't know if it was just me or not, but they were a little scatterbrained. They thought they ordered my meds, they thought they gave me certain directions, stuff like that. You really need to be on top of them. They also refuse to give surros their beta numbers. They said they don't want us getting caught up in them so make sure you tell your friend to have her monitoring clinic call her first with beta numbers. During business hours (before 4 pm I think) they do return calls and emails quickly. They also didn't tell me how many they transferred or what day they were until I asked. They had me take a pill (maybe percocet) to relax my uterus, then I was loopy for a bit. I had to walk a couple of blocks to get my own cab to the hotel because the doorman won't do it. So tell her not to take too many pills.(I think they wanted me to take 2 and I argued with them and we agreed on 1)

On their website it looks beautiful and grand. The waiting room isn't bad, but wait until she sees the transfer room! Your in a room only separated by a curtain and the doctor is 1/2 in the room and 1/2 in the hallway to do the actual transfer. Its just very tiny and jammed in there. You are on display for anyone walking in the hallway back there. Granted it would be just the other nurses or doctors, but still.

All in all the transfer did work and my IM was very happy with them. We will be using them again for our next transfer.

I LOVED this clinic. I used them with two different couples. Yes, they don't give you beta numbers but I always got them myself from the hospital so it was no big deal. They do give you a valium to take at the transfer and the dr is half out of the room due to the room being small, unless you transfer in the OR - the OR is a nice big room. I never had a problem with the door man getting me a cab - they always got one for me.

I always found the doctors and staff return all calls promptly. I never felt like a number at this clinic - the staff always knew who you were and who you were working with.

    Default Eh..

Hi! I was going to work with NYFI but I too found them scatterbrained and a bit too disheveld for me. It made me uncomfortable since it got worse with time... This is why I switched to New Life. Also in New York but much more organized and such great people

SmilingAri, I hope you are still reading this. I have just started working with New Hope in NY as well. Would love to "chat" with you about them on your experience. My email is cjenckes2006@yahoo dot com
