Pumping Compensation: Flat Rate

For those of you (as a surro or donor) who got compensated for pumping breast milk (and not just reimbursed for expenses) and the compensation was paid to you as a set, flat rate, what was that rate? If you were compensated per ounce, please vote in the other per ounce thread.

(Amounts are per week, but if you got paid monthly, please just figure out the equivalent).

Not interested in a debate about whether or not pumping should be compensated.

Also, please also comment if you thought that amount was fair to you, and your family.

I was not comped for my last surrogacy for pumping, but if I was, I would ask $200/wk plus supplies. Whether I get 10 oz a day or 100oz/day it would take the same effort/time on my part.

Wow, I can't imagine charging my FIP's that much. They just continued my monthly allowance while I was pumping and paid the shipping expenses.

I pumped with my first journey and had no intention of accepting compensation for it, especially after I had to be delivered at 29.3 weeks because of pre-e. The guys ended up leaving me a $500 check one day when they came by to pick up what little milk I was able to pump...which believe me, was very little (thanks to implants and piercings). I opened the card after they left with the check inside, and burst into tears when I saw it. I sent the check back to them once they reached Houston. So Nada for me.

Absolutely nothing. It was my gift to the twins. I pumped for 4 months and didn't charge anything. Not even for supplies. It was hard work but a true labor of love!

I didn't accept any money either. They did buy my pump and paid for supplies (storage bags, batteries), and I pumped for 2 months for the twins. I guess if you count that their grandma brought dinner for my family once a week, then I did get something, hehe.

My IPs gave $200/wk and got 60-70 oz per day.

I'm not being compensated this time around. For my first surrogacy they covered all expenses plus I was compensated $100 per week. I think it was fair.

$250/week to pump for twins. I felt it was high at the time, but it's what they offered, and I accepted. And in retrospect, I don't think it was too high. I pumped around the clock (I got up twice to pump during the night), and worked very hard to build and maintain that, while also having a 5 and 3 year old and recovering from a cesarean and twin pregnancy. It was very hard. I do feel that it was fair.

Not pumping but I added mine at 225/week because my contract states that if I pump for these IPs I will be compensated 30/day (so 210/week and I rounded up).

I voted for $100 a week because that is what my contract states but I have no idea if my IP's will actually want me to pump. That is a ways down the line but my contract does state $400 a month.

I was compensated a little differently, so I didn't vote.

My IPs gave me $500 a shipment. In 12 weeks, I shipped 5 times. This was not something I asked for, but was given. My IPs threw a fit when I sent their first check back, as we never agreed on compensation in our contract and I felt it was a bit much, but they insisted.

My IF's covered all supplies, but pumping was good for my recovery and I felt it was my final gift to the baby. I didn't charge. The twins dads would send some kind of gift card when they would return the cooler. So I got some compensation.
