    Unhappy BMI question

I am in the process with an agency and my insurance has cleared, home study cleared, and we would be flown to another state for medical and psych eval. I'm worried my BMI might be too high.
I got a clearance letter from my OB saying I would be completely healthy to be a surrogate both physically and mentally But I have about 20lbs more to get to a BMI I think they may require. I am working hard between now and the medical to get the weight off. I had this weight with my last pregnancy and no complications and sent all my medical records off to the clinic.

My concern is - I don't want IP to fly me to another state if I would be rejected for 20lbs more than the required BMI... I'm exercising twice a day and have limited to 1200-1500 a day and already lost 20lbs. but I would need 20 more.
Would the fertility clinic not approve me for this? Or would they work with me- since I KNOW I can get it off quickly. I don't want to disappoint the IP. We get along really well and everything else is perfect.
Let me know what you think,
    Thank you

Clinics vary with regard to BMI cut-off but very few would approve a carrier with a BMI that exceeds 31, even if she is in the process of losing weight. Therefore I suggest you aim to get there before flying to any clinic, to avoid exactly the type of scenario that you mention. Good Luck!
