Default What if your kid had a unibrow?

So I was having a conversation with a friend and we were talking about toddlers who have unibrows....is it ever ok to wax your toddler's unibrow? Not hot wax, but just like a waxing strip. Obviously our opinions differ.

I don't want an argument about it, just your honest opinion. TIA for staying civilized!

Um...hell no. I wouldn't wax, hot or not, my kids eyebrows.
This is one of those things that they can do themselves when they are old enough if they want to.

I don't even like to wax my own.

My daughter has a light one but luckily she is blond. Even if she had black hair, I would not wax it. I might let her at a younger age than I would normally allow waxing when she asked to, but I would not do that to a toddler. It hurts and I think it would start making them very self conscience to be told that they "needed" it done.

    On a toddler, no.

Over the age of 9, yes.

It kills me when I see Madonna's daughter, Lourdes on tv.

She has a unibrow that is out of control.

no way a toddler. but i think madonna should let her child wax hers. i think she's 12 now and that seems to be an appropriate age.

    poor thing:

I had a kid with a unibrow and I was a kid with a unibrow. I don't think it's ever ok to even mention that a kid is unattractive or that some normal part of them isn't good enough.

My daughter is turning 10 and still has it. Yes, it's distracting (mainly because she's 5'3 and looks like she's 14); but made more so by her lumbering and glaring out from under it.

we'll work on one thing at a time here; and the angst is more of an issue then the unibrow. I

when she cares, she'll say so and we'll do whatever she wants. They know I pluck mine (waxing cuases major problems for me) and I've joked with them all (boys included) that once their eyebrows start blocking their visiion I'll be happy to teach them how to clean it up.

I disagree and think madonnas dd looks fine. maybe it's a cultural thing because we have Indian and Italian who tend to have darker hair (all over)?

I think madonnas dd is gorgeous just how she is. We all know too soon we'll see too much of her.

    I disagree.

I would not let me daughter walk out of the house like that.

I have hard enough time getting my middle child to match her clothes. (and I lose the battle lots) I don't think she'd let me touch her eye brows.
    Thank GOD she's not unibrow!

I have never seen a toddler with a unibrow.. can they even be that hairy that young? I would never wax my child, but if at some point he did grow a unibrow yes I would take care of it. I like my child well groomed and having out of control eyebrows would make me twitch.

I agree. She is obviously comfortable with how she looks..the way G-d made her, and I certainly would never suggest to a child, esp a young woman, that she should begin modifying her appearance because others may think she looks weird.

Thank you Erica for the siggy!

No way would I wax anyone's eyebrow. I chose other because if it was on my older child then I might assist in either plucking or shaving it for them if they complained about it. I wouldn't even wax my own eyebrows (or any other parts for that matter).

No way on a toddler for any reason... I don't want my kids thinking that there's something wrong with them. They are beautiful just the way God made them!
