March 17, 2009 - It has been mentioned that the agency Surrogenesis USA is still operating in some capacity, and may be asking clients to deposit funds into a "new holding company".  Please use caution in any dealings with this agency, and per the advice found here it is advised that you contact your independent attorney and consult with them on any communication you recieve from Surrogenesis USA.

March 16, 2009 - More information is coming in daily on the fiasco with the Michael Charles escrow company and also Surrogenesis USA, Inc. owned by Tonya Collins, and details are being kept up to date here.

March 13, 2009 - A very concerning situation has come to light that has affected many in the surrogacy & egg donor community.  Both the agency Surrogenesis USA, Inc. which is owned by Tonya Collins, and also the Michael Charles Group (escrow company) appear to have abruptly disappeared and absconded with their clients' trust funds and the authorities are involved.
  For any present or past clients of either Surrogenesis or Michael Charles Group seeking assistance, there is a website/blog set up by attorney Andrew Vorzimer of Vorzimer Masserman, P.C. dedicated to this ongoing investigation along with important information on who to contact for help.  Please go to www.eggdonor.com/blog or click here.
