    12. I recently had to have a hysterectomy (cervix and Uterus removal only) My husband and I are thinking of having one more child in the next year or two via surrogacy with my eggs. What process would i have to go through to have my eggs retrieved now that I have no uterus for them to go through? - Andrea in IN - Top

    Dear Andrea,

Assuming that your ovaries are still in the same place(I read that a woman had them moved once for cancer), the retrieval should be pretty much the same as a standard one, except one less thing for the RE to have to go through. It might even be easier for the procedure to be completed. If not, the RE can use the old fashioned way and do a "mini lap" instead.
