    1. How do you perform at home inseminations? Where would you get the supplies to do it? - Anonymous in Louisiana

    2. What exactly is the process for AI surrogacy (when done through a physician, not home insemination)? How do the parties know when to do inseminations? If they're not in the same location, how is sperm transported? Also, how long would the surrogate and her husband have to abstain from intercourse themselves before and after inseminations (this is my husband's big question!)? - Anonymous

    3. I have a question I can't seem to find the answer to. How long is the average time for the sperm to meet the egg. 7 minutes? 10 days? I have no clue and am really curious. - Anonymous

    4. Im going to be doing an AI surrogacy in June, i was wondering what is the best way to implant the sperm? Is it really a turkey baster? - Shelley in Michigan

    5. My question is can i become a surrogate if i am currently taking depoprovera, not for contraception?? i have a hormonal imbalance and my midwife suggested i use this for my heavy menstruations. - Lorraine in Somerville, NJ

    6. We are doing ai with a surrogate next week, I am a nurse but havent had experience with this. Can we use a large sterile syrige and a foley catheter hose to do the ai. Also what fluid would we use to mix with the sperm to insert it. Would we be better off using a kit. If so where would we find one? What supplies from the hospital might i use? -Michael Mcelroy in Tyler Texas

    7. I am currently trying to become pregnant as a surrogate mother in New Zealand. As there is no legal status for surrogacy in NZ, no medical professionals are able to help us. For this reason we are doing home inseminations with a syringe. I have read several references to a cervical cap that has a tube, which filled with a syringe, can then be closed off and left in for a few hours. We have contacted Dr Z(I can't remember the rest of his name) and he said that they no longer sell that equipment. My IP's and I are not comfortable with washing the semen and inserting it into my cervical canal as he sugguested. So my question is where can I obtain one of these caps? Are they really necessary? There is nowhere in NZ to go to for this information, so I would appreciate any advice etc. Thanks a lot. - Jenni

    8. How is the egg implanted into the surrogate mother? - Anonymous
