Surrogate Mothers Online Q & A: I have read somewhere that after IVF the surrogate cannot have any kind of sexual penetration for awhile. Is this true and if so, for how long after? Also, just so you know my husband had a vasectomy at the beginning of the year so I'm not asking this for protection reasons. Thank You for your question. My Dr. told me no sex for 3 weeks before and 3 weeks after the IVF transfer, but, I would check with you Dr. to see what he recommends.
