    13. In a GS Surrogacy if the fertilized egg doesn't take is that along the same lines as an abortion/miscarriage? What is the success rate like? - Interested - Top

Hello! And welcome to the wonderful world of surrogacy.

As for your question. Not if the embryo's don't take, it's not like a miscarriage. Miscarriage is after the baby has implanted into the endometrial lining. And since it did not happen then it's not a pregnancy.

As for the results. Those really do vary. I have heard that if you use a surrogate, you have a 25% chance of it working. With and infertile woman it's like 10%. So I really think it depends on the doctors. Experience and grade of embryos and quality of the mother, really is where the numbers can go up and down.

So really all that has to be determined on a case by case trial.

Good Luck and if you need anything else answered please feel free to drop me a line. Here's the address: JenniferS@surromomsonline.com
