    16. Is it possible to transplant an embryo within the first trimester into another woman to carry it to full term. I might be interested in that. Any time after fertilization and growth of the fetus has begun would be something I am interested in, but, however, I am interested in knowing specifically also if it could be done in the third month. Please let me know... - thelastadam - Top

As far as I know it is not possible at this time or in the near future to transplant an embryo in the third month to another woman. The longest after fertilization they are keeping embryos before transfer is 5 days. Very shortly after this point, the embryos naturally implant themselves into the uterine lining and begin building the placenta. Since science cannot re-create the uterine environment, then it is not possible to maintain an embryo past this point.

    Dear The Last Adam,

I am sorry but that cannot be done. The embryo is much too small too have surgical removal done. If that were attempted, an abortion is what would result. I would suggest consulting an RE (Reproductive Endocronologist) with any more questions that you have regarding the medical aspects of surrogacy. Good Luck in your search.
