    Hi Tammy...

    If you decide to become a surrogate through and agency the majority say that you need to be 21 yrs. with no state financial help and have at least one child you gave birth to that is under your custody. You can also go independent. It sounds like you would be a great candidate. However, NY is Not a surrogate friendly state... You may use the SMO ads to find a couple and or you may put up an ad for yourself.

    Hello! Well every agency has different qualifications. And even different independent parents have expectations that vary. Here are the pretty standard ones.

    -Have children
    -Age between 19-38
    -Not be on any type of welfare
    -Married or some type of support system
    -Healthy
    -Children are heathly
    -No genetic illnesses
    -No felony convictions

    Any extras like easy deliveries, healthy babies, no miscarriages, college education, cultural differences, and health insurance can really be an extra for some.

    These are in no way written in stone. But from my research seem to go, relatively, from one agency to another. Good Luck! If you need any more help, let me know.
