Surrogacy and Egg Donation Q and A

Surrogate Mothers Online Q & A
  • Q & A: Just Starting Out - Egg Donation

For those just starting down the egg donation path. Topics may include finding the right match, pros and cons of anonymous vs. known donor, independent vs. and agency or broker, where to start, etc.

    5. I was wondering where to go to see if I could be an egg donor. I have been wondering how to give the gift of life to another family. I have 3 healthy children of my own and I do not want any other children. I hope you could send what information I would need or point me in the right direction. Thank you - Synthia in NJ - Top

    Dear Synthia,

Here is a link to many agencies and infertility clinics in the USA. http://www.SurromomsOnline.com/links.htm Check them out and see if any of the programs appeal to you. If not, can always place an ad on SMO's classified section. There are many couples out there seeking an egg donor.

    Synthia,

You can call local infertility doctors in your area, contact an egg donor program (check out the internet sites) or post an ad on the Surrogate Mothers Online ad page. Hope this helps.

    Lynn

    Dear Sinthia,

I would try contacting some of the IVF clinics in your area. Since you're on the East Coast, the Cooper Institute would probably gladly help you. In the "Related Links" area here on SMO you can find agencies, attorneys, and doctors who are in the New Jersey area that would be glad to help you. I know there is an egg donation program in California called Creative Conceptions. But, I would suggest looking a little closer to home. There is monitoring and protocols and its nice to have that medical attention close by. Good Luck and if you need any more help, contact me.
