Surrogacy and Egg Donation Q and A

Topics may include finding coverage, finding out if current insurance will cover surrogacy, etc.

    1. Hi Sherry! I'm getting ready to be a GS surrogate for a wonderful couple in my area. I will be using my insurance company (Kaiser) during the pregnancy and was wondering if you know anything about their policy on coverage for surrogates. Thanks - Carrie - Top

    Carrie,

Please BE CAREFUL... I personally had Kaiser with my first surrogacy and during it... they no longer took surrogates.... as of January 1999. As I was 4 months pregnant already they were forced to continue my care....
Blue cross or Blue shield I think would be a good choice... BUT, always check the policies.

    good luck
