Surrogacy and Egg Donation Q and A

Surrogate Mothers Online Q & A
  • Q & A: Insurance Issues

Topics may include finding coverage, finding out if current insurance will cover surrogacy, etc.

    4. I am interested in being a surrogate and I currently don't have insurance on myself. How does the finacial and insurance arrangements work??? Are the surrogate mothers responsible for any of it??? Also, how would I find couples in my area??? - Tena in KY - Top

    Tena,

The intended parents should be financially responsible for all the expenses from the pregnancy. And my personal opinion is all first surrogacies should be done with an agency. BUT that is just my opinion.

There is a great agency in Indiana called IFC,
    (International Fertility Center), Indianapolis. I
love them. And I haven't heard anything bad about
them. You might want to contact Dr. Zavos-Zarmakoius, at the Kentucky Center for Reproductive Medicine in Lexington, they can help too!

Feel free to contact me anytime, I live in Indiana.
