Surrogacy and Egg Donation Q and A

Surrogate Mothers Online Q & A
  • Q & A: Just Starting Out - Surrogacy

For those just starting down the surrogacy path. Topics may include finding the right match, pros and cons of independent vs. agency, where to start, etc.

    4. My mother-in-law is 62yrs old and have offered to be a GS for my parthner and I. I believe she may be too old! We are not wealthy, therefore this may seem "stupid", but any info on a very resonable agency close to NYC. Thanks! - Daddies in waiting in NYC - Top

I'm sorry I am not familiar with any agencies personally since we had an independent arrangement. We found our own surrogate through our doctor's office and coordinated everything ourselves. This could be an option for you
as well, but there is a lot of work involved. My mother-in-law also offered to be our surrogate, but our doctor felt she was too old at 56.

There are surrogacy ads on both SMO and www.surrogacy.com. There are several agencies that offer their services for reasonable prices that you might want to check into if you are uncomfortable pursuing an independent arrangement.

    Best of luck,
    Linda
