    35. Due to cancer and a total hysterectomy I am unable to have any more children. I am getting married to a wonderful loving man that is 6 years my junior. He has never had a baby and although he accepts that I can not give him one and stated that we have other options I know he wants a baby that is "his" and at some point ours. Anyways...How do we go about finding a Surrogate mother? I read about the cost but who supplies the medical insurance for the birth etc...Also, where can I locate the laws on this in Massachusetts. - Kimberly in Mass. - Top

    Dear Kim,

    Finding a surrogate is a really a decision you need to make for yourself. Look at what you feel comfortable going independent or using an agency? Maybe just calling an attorney? I would go to the related links area and get all the information for agencies and the attorneys that Jenn has listed. There are some other sites which offer vast amounts of knowledge. OPTS, RESOLVE, TASC and INCIID, these are really great sites and I would highly suggest a research of these.

    TASC has a list of attorneys in Massachuettes. They area great reference to the laws. Also, Jenn may have some listed in the Related Links area that have many attorneys. I would contact an attorney in your state that can help with these laws. Please seek the advice of an attorney. RESOLVE can put you in contact of attorneys in your area. They are located in Massachussetts and really are the kindest and nicest support group.
